Following graduation from Douglas Mac Arthur, I attended C.M.U where I met my husband and married a few days before beginning our Sophomore year. Bob graduated in 4 1\2 years and we moved to Davison, Michigan ( a place I had never even known existed until I met Bob)! He worked for Genessee County Probate Court as a juvenile probation officer and I began my life long career as a full time mother! I finished my undergraduate degree in my 40's and decided to obtain a Master's degree in counseling from Oakland University in order to work with a few dear friends at Belsay Christian Counseling Center. Upon completion of my degree, I obtained a position with that organization as an independent counselor (which basically meant I would be responsible for obtaining my own clients and share in the expenses of the organization) This experience was exceptionally rewarding to me as I loved working with children and women (women's issues of codependency, depression, child rearing and emotional and physical abuse). I worked there approximately 12 years until the time of my stroke in (2007); then moved my practice to a closer location and, at times, saw a few clients even at my home. But exhaustion and health issues forced me into an earlier than desired retirement! All through the time of child rearing and education, and my counseling experience, I played an active role in building my husband's real estate company - in several different capacities (as logo designer, interior designer; career assessment and development). Now I enjoy winters in Florida with visits from children, their spouses, and several of my eleven grandchildren! And until my twenties, I didn't even know I liked children ! And they are the foundation, love, and passion of my life!

School Story

I can't recall any particularly humorous or memorable event from high school; except for the fact that I was proud to be a student in Saginaw County with the outstanding educational staff and curriculum offered, which made college seem like a breeze! And I was very proud of our campus style high school. The study habits I acquired and the learning opportunities prepared me well for my undergraduate and graduate experiences! I truly believe high school was far more demanding than college proved to be! My thank you to everyone involved for making my elementary and secondary education all that it was! A incredible experience! One that prepared me for the challenges of higher education and life.
